Arsenal are on the brink of securing the 2025/2026 Premier League title, according to projections by the Opta SuperComputer, which now gives the North London club an overwhelming 97.57 per cent probability of finishing as champions.

The updated forecast, released late Saturday, follows Arsenal’s decisive 2–0 victory over Everton, a result that significantly strengthened their grip at the top of the table.

Arsenal secured the win with late strikes from Viktor Gyokeres and Max Dowman, turning a tense contest into a statement performance at a crucial stage of the season.

The result pushes the Gunners to 70 points with seven matches remaining, keeping them firmly in control of the title race as the campaign enters its decisive final stretch.

Opta’s simulations project Arsenal to finish the season with approximately 84.64 points — a tally expected to be enough to secure their first league crown in years if current form is maintained.

Manchester City’s Hopes Fade

Defending champions Manchester City saw their already slim chances further diminish after being held to a 1–1 draw by West Ham United.

Following that result, the SuperComputer now assigns City just a 2.43 per cent probability of retaining the title.

Managed by Pep Guardiola, City are projected to end the season with 74.72 points. They currently sit on 61 points with eight fixtures left to play.

Title Race Nearing Conclusion

With Arsenal holding a commanding lead both in points and statistical projections, analysts say the race is effectively theirs to lose.

If results continue to go in their favour over the coming weeks, the club could clinch the championship before the final round of fixtures, bringing an emphatic end to one of the most closely watched Premier League campaigns in recent years.
