The Supreme Court of Nigeria on Monday reserved judgment on the governorship election appeal filed by Patrick Tonye-Cole, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 general elections, challenging the victory of Governor Siminalayi Fubara of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Supreme Court panel comprising of five judges headed by Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, after listening to all parties in the suit, adopted their briefs of arguments, thereafter, reserved judgment on the appeal brought before the court by Tonye-Cole.
Tonye-Cole had lost at the Court of Appeal, which on 28th November dismissed his appeal for lack of sufficient and convincing evidence.
