The Executive Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas has approved the appointment of 61 additional special aides.
This development brings the total number of his appointments to 194.
Kefas made the announcement known on Wednesday by the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Barrister Gebon Timothy Kataps, in a release made available to journalists in Jalingo, the state capital.
The new appointments followed the recent release of a list of 123 aides, which included the ex-chairman of Takum Local Government Council, Shiban Tikari.
Tikari had been declared wanted by the State Police Command for his alleged involvement in the abduction and killing of the former member representing Takum One Constituency, Hosea Ibbi. Tikari’s name was subsequently removed following public outcry over his appointment.

The Chapel Chairman, Gabriel Yough, also praised the governor and promised to ensure a cordial working relationship between his administration and members of the Chapel.
