The Lagos State Environmental Task Force on Friday arrested 56 suspected miscreants during cleanup operations in some parts of the state.
According to the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, the areas visited by the task force during the operation include – Falomo bridge, Four Point area, First gate, Muri Okunola park, Law School area and other adjoining streets, where the presence of some undesirable elements was noticed and narcotic substance suspected to be indian hemp, illicit drugs and dangerous object like scissors were found.

“Earlier today at about 1:30am, the Lagos State Environmental Task force embarked on its ongoing clean up enforcement operation on the Island.
“During the raid exercise, a total number of 56 male suspects were arrested.
“The areas visited during the operation include; Falomo bridge, Four Point area, First gate, Muri Okunola park, Law School area and other adjoining streets where the presence of some undesirable elements was noticed and narcotic substance suspected to be indian hemp, illicit drugs and dangerous object like scissors were found on them.
“All the Suspects will be charged to court accordingly.”
