Also present are the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), alongside other key security stakeholders.
The urgent engagement is believed to be connected to growing concerns over renewed attacks by terrorist groups, particularly incidents targeting military positions in different operational theatres nationwide.
Although the meeting is still in progress, official details of the discussions and any possible decisions taken had not been released at the time of this report.
