Kashim Shettima, running mate to Tinubu, represented him at that event, sparking a debate about the status of his health.

Speaking shortly after his return, Tinubu said he is “actively” back to the country.

“The trip was very good, I enjoyed my break. I’m happy to be back to my fatherland. Nigerians should expect an intelligent – ability to think and perform,” he said.

Nigerians should expect that the help they need is here. The hope that is almost jittering is back.

“I’m back actively back to the country of patriotism, dedication, capacity – not the fact that Nigerian has failed. This country, this continent is the greatest of all.

“If it is an assurance that we need, we will definitely make a better country out of it all.”
