About two bomb explosions on Wednesday outside a prison yard killed 8 people and injured 18 others in Yangon, Myanmar.
The spokesperson of the military regime in Myanmar disclosed that the bombs exploded within the arena of a crowd of people lining up to drop off parcels for inmates at Insein Prison on Wednesday morning.
The military attributed the explosions to “terrorists”.
About three prison officials were said to be among the dead eight victims.
There has been violent upsurge in the country since the military took over power in a coup in 2021.
