The Ukrainian military has successfuly launched an attack on a weapons depot near the city of Karachev in Russia’s Bryansk region. According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, artillery ammunition originating from North Korea was among the items destroyed in the operation.
Ukrainian forces, in coordination with other military units, targeted the Russian 1046th logistics center near Karachev. The operation resulted in twelve secondary explosions, demonstrating the success of the strike.
Andriy Kovalenko, the head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation, confirmed that the warehouse belonged to the Main Directorate of Rockets and Artillery of the Russian Ministry of Defense. The depot was reported to contain artillery shells from North Korea, guided aerial bombs, anti-aircraft missiles, and ammunition for multiple rocket launchers.
Ukraine’s Armed Forces have pledged to continue their campaign against Russian ammunition depots, aiming to disrupt Russia’s military operations and reduce its weapons capacity for aggression against Ukraine. By targeting key logistical hubs, Ukraine seeks to weaken Russia’s military infrastructure through precise, high-impact strikes.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched an attack that same night, using 87 Shahed-type drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Ukrainian forces successfully shot down 51 of these drones in various regions, including Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv.

Additionally, Ukraine’s electronic warfare capabilities played a crucial role in neutralizing 30 Russian drones by severing their communication links. One drone remained within Ukrainian airspace, and efforts to destroy it were ongoing.
This latest exchange of military action underscores the ongoing intensity of the conflict and highlights Ukraine’s continued focus on degrading Russia’s military capabilities while also defending its territory from aerial threats.
