Popular Nigerian social media influencer and critic, Verydarkman, has publicly accused Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, of allegedly threatening his life amid an escalating online dispute.
Verydarkman made the allegation in a viral video posted on his Instagram page on Friday afternoon, claiming that both Seyi Tinubu and content creator King Mitchy should be held responsible if anything happens to him.
The development follows an ongoing rivalry between Verydarkman and King Mitchy, which intensified after the latter reportedly renovated a public school within six days with financial backing from Seyi Tinubu.
The renovation project had drawn public attention, with supporters praising the gesture while critics questioned aspects of its funding and transparency.
Tensions flared after Verydarkman accused King Mitchy of failing to properly account for public donations she allegedly received since 2025. In the heated exchange that followed, he further alleged that Seyi Tinubu was behind the sponsorship of her charity initiatives.
In his latest video, Verydarkman claimed that the situation had taken a more serious turn, alleging that threats had been made against him. He referenced a message allegedly sent by King Mitchy to his associate, identified as Kokopee, suggesting that Seyi Tinubu had expressed anger over the controversy.
Quoting from the alleged message, Verydarkman said King Mitchy wrote: “Hold VDM ooo. Either we talk on the phone and settle this, because the matter don serious ooo. Seyi just called me now to explain everything. Talk to VDM because what I heard just now, hmmm, I’m afraid.”

The influencer claimed that Seyi Tinubu had personally spoken to him on the phone and issued threats, though he did not provide further details of the alleged conversation.
“My life is being threatened. I just want to put it out there that if anything happens to me, it’s King Mitchy and Seyi. They both know what they’ve spoken on the phone,” he said in the video.
He further alleged that Seyi Tinubu wields significant influence and connections within Nigeria’s security architecture, expressing fear for his safety.
“Seyi Tinubu is so influential and powerful that he can command the IGP and DSS boss. Anything Seyi likes, he can do. I want Nigerians to know that it is because I am speaking about the evil of this government that Seyi Tinubu is coming for me,” he stated.
Verydarkman concluded by urging members of the public to hold both Seyi Tinubu and King Mitchy accountable should any harm befall him or his close associates.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Seyi Tinubu nor King Mitchy has publicly responded to the allegations.
