Wike also also stated that Atiku’s statement could amount to taking the convention delegates for granted.

The Rivers State Governor believed that Atiku has gone too far with such statement and never expected a politician of his calibre to make such claim on the ground that it is capable of dividing the party.

Wike who is one of the politicians rooting for southern presidency in 2023 revealed that the outcome of the PDP presidential primaries will shock many.

Recall that there have been agitations by the southern politicians on the platform of PDP to produce the presidential candidate of the party. They argued that the northern region produced the 2019 presidential candidate of the party and the south should be allowed to produce PDP candidate in 2023 presidential poll.

They also argued that the south ought to produce the next President of Nigeria after the eight years of Presidentt Muhammadu Buhari who hails from the northern region.
