London’s popular Wireless Festival has been cancelled following the UK government’s ban on Kanye West entering the country.

Festival Republic, the company behind the three-day music event, confirmed the cancellation on Tuesday after Prime Minister Kier Starmer’s announcement. Organizers said they will issue refunds to all ticket holders.

“Wireless Festival is cancelled and refunds will be issued to all ticket holders. Antisemitism in all its forms is abhorrent, and we recognise the real and personal impact these issues have had. As Ye said today, he acknowledges that words alone are not enough, and in spite of this still hopes to be given the opportunity to begin a conversation with the Jewish community in the UK,” the statement read.

Kanye West, also known as Ye, expressed regret over his offensive remarks toward the Jewish community and others. He emphasized his willingness to make amends through both words and actions.

“I would be grateful for the opportunity to meet with members of the Jewish community in the UK in person, to listen. I know words aren’t enough – I’ll have to show change through my actions. If you’re open, I’m here,” he said.

The cancellation comes just weeks before the festival, disappointing fans who were expecting one of the UK’s biggest annual music events.
