Nigerian politician, Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK), has taken to social media to call out Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Afenifere, following Atiku Abubakar’s victory in the PDP presidential primary election, as he wondered how Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Afenifere groups are currently feeling with regards to a Northerner becoming the 2023 flag bearer of the opposition party.
Recall that few hours ago, Atiku Abubakar was announced as the 2023 flag bearer of the PDP, following his victory over his running mates, Governor Nyesom Wike, Bukola Saraki, Udom Emmanuel, and others.
However, following Atiku Abubakar’s victory in the election, former minister of aviation, FFK, in a post which he captioned, “PDP’s Great Betrayal and the Choice Before the APC”, wondered how Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Afenifere, PANDEM, Middle Belt Forum, and the Southern and Middle Belt Leader Forum, are currently feeling with regards to a Northerner becoming the PDP’s 2023 flag bearer.
FFK further stated that the call for an Igbo presidential candidate by the groups, have been ignored by the PDP with contempt and disdain, adding that they have been fooled and scammed, and they have no influence over the PDP.
The politician went ahead to revealed that politics is a game of numbers and the keys to success is not tied to age and wealth of knowledge of history, but on insight, passion, a firm resolve, and the courage to build bridges even with the past adversaries.
FFK finally stated that the various groups had thought that the PDP would produce a southern presidential candidate, but such thought did not come into reality, as he assured them that more surprises are coming ahead of the 2023 general elections.
