Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, sparked reactions after declining to engage a presenter who asked her to introduce herself during a live interview at an event in Lagos.
The incident occurred at the 46th Miss Nigeria Patrons & Board Dinner held on Sunday, where the veteran actress was among high-profile dignitaries in attendance.
In a video circulating on social media, a presenter, who appeared relatively inexperienced, approached the actress during a live segment and said, “Alright, welcome to the 2026 Miss Nigeria dinner. I am currently live with…?”

The question appeared to catch Omotola off guard, prompting a brief pause before she questioned the presenter’s professionalism.
“You are here with who? I should tell you my name? You are not ready,” she responded.
The presenter attempted to clarify, stating that he was aware of her identity and only intended to include it as part of the interview format.
“I know you, Omotola Jalade. I just want fans to know who I am with,” he said.
However, the explanation did not appease the actress, who replied, “Why should I let fans know me? I am tired.”
Omotola subsequently moved to end the interaction, though the presenter continued to appeal to her as the exchange reportedly carried on briefly.
