President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Bishop Wale Oke has urged Nigerians to shun electoral violence and other acts that are inimical to democracy as the country prepares for general elections in 2023.

Speaking at the 5th edition of the Greater Nigeria Project conference of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) held on Friday at the Vineyard Christian Ministries, Ajao Estate, Lagos, Bishop Oke advised Nigerians to vote their conscience in the coming general elections.

“I will not tell you to vote for a particular candidate, vote your conscience. But I will tell you this, don’t sell your votes on Election Day because if you do, you’re mortgaging the future of your children and of this great country.

“No sentiment, vote your conscience, vote for whoever you know has the capacity to solve the problem of Nigeria irrespective of the tribe. There is hope for the future but we have to fight for it. Use your vote to deliver Nigeria.”

“Get your PVC, shun electoral violence, and use your vote to bring in a candidate that will make the country better for you and your children,” he added.

“Nigerians should not lose hope, there is a great future ahead of us. We must fight for this future. Another opportunity comes in 2023, your future is in your hands. If you sell your vote because of money, you have sold your future and the future of your children from generation to generation.
