Keyamo blasts CAN, PFN leaders, stop interfering with APC affairs over Muslim-Muslim ticket
The spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo SAN, in media interaction blasted leaders of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), cautioning them that they are not APC members and should, therefore, desist from interfering in the affairs of the party.
Keyamo emphasized that since CAN and PFN are not APC members, they cannot decide the running mate of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, APC presidential candidate.
He said that they should go out and vote on election days and stop questioning the APC.
Keyamo was cited to have stated: “The PFN are not members of our party. They should go and vote that day.
“They should not be coming to question the decision of our party publicly. The purpose of pastors or their duty is to lead people to heaven not to lead people to (presidential) villa.
“Religion does not matter in the north, they just want to vote for who they want to vote for.
“Is PFN members of APC? Or CAN, are they members of APC? Picking a vice-presidential candidate of our party is an internal party decision.
“So, these external bodies are part of our party. If they wanted to take part in the decision process, they can as well come and join the political party but they cannot stay outside and dictate to us.”
