Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has formally purchased the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest the 2027 governorship election in Lagos State.
The development was announced on April 29, 2026, by his campaign team, which described the move as a demonstration of his commitment to party discipline and adherence to the APC’s internal democratic processes.
In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Gbenga Ogunleye, Dr. Adediran reaffirmed his support for the party’s official position adopting direct primaries for all elective offices.
He expressed confidence that the system would promote participatory democracy, strengthen unity within the party and give members a direct role in selecting candidates.

Jandor also restated his loyalty and commitment to the National Leader of the APC and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, acknowledging the leadership structure of the party at both national and state levels.
He extended appreciation to party elders and stakeholders in Lagos State for their guidance and support.
While thanking leaders and party members who have endorsed his aspiration, the governorship hopeful recognised the rights of other stakeholders backing different aspirants.
He noted that diverse political preferences within the party reflect its democratic character and vibrancy.
The aspirant further expressed gratitude to members of the JAGABAN–JANDOR 2027 Movement, young Lagosians and supporters who contributed financially toward the purchase of the nomination forms.
He commended what he described as their sense of ownership and belief in his capacity to consolidate the state’s developmental strides under the APC platform.
Dr. Adediran assured party members and residents of Lagos State that his ambition is anchored on unity, inclusiveness and sustained excellence in governance, pledging to uphold the progressive ideals of the ruling party as preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
