German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has announced an additional €100 million (approximately $111 million) in winter aid for Ukraine.
This support comes in response to the ongoing Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure, which have created energy supply issues and left residents facing shortages of water and heat.
Baerbock emphasized that supporting Ukraine is crucial for the stability of Moldova and European democracy as a whole.
She warned that the fall of Ukraine could lead to the destabilization of Moldova.
Baerbock accused Russia of intentionally targeting Ukrainian infrastructure to make life as difficult as possible for the population.

She also claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin aims to see Moldova collapse but has achieved the opposite, as Moldova has now become a candidate for European Union membership.
The German foreign minister Baerbock stressed the importance of further stabilizing Moldova and pledged to visit a center for strategic communication and the fight against disinformation and propaganda in Chisinau.
