The rescue operation, which saw the release of the victims following the payment of a ransom, brings relief to their families and the wider community.

Joy and relief filled the Benue State University Teaching Hospital on Sunday, June 29, 2025, as a group of kidnapped children and their driver were successfully reunited with their anxiously awaiting parents and guardians.

The group, comprising nine girls, two boys, and the driver of their vehicle, regained their freedom at approximately 3:00 PM on Sunday, following the payment of a ransom.

This positive outcome follows the earlier escape of two other boys who had also been abducted.
