The Edo State Government has condemned the unauthorized visit of impeached deputy governor Philip Shaibu to the construction site of the Radisson Hotel Project, labeling it a serious breach of privacy for the private sector investors involved in the venture.

The Radisson Hotel Project operates as a Public-Private Partnership (PPP), with private investors holding the majority equity. These investors are now considering legal action against Shaibu for infringing upon their private space.

In a statement by Chris Osa Nehikhare, Hon. Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Edo state, the government acknowledged that Shaibu’s limited experience in the private sector may contribute to his misunderstanding of the legal implications of his actions. They emphasized the importance of respecting the rights and privacy of others in accordance with the law.
