The handover ceremony took place at Aiyetoro Primary Health Centre, where Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head of Brand & Communications at Fidelity Bank, presented the maternity kits.
Dr. Nwagboh emphasized the importance of the initiative, noting that financial barriers often prevent women from accessing crucial antenatal care, a significant factor in maternal mortality.
“Our hope is that this donation encourages more women to attend antenatal appointments,” said Dr. Nwagboh.
Dr. S.O. Oredein, Medical Officer of Health for Yaba LCDA, expressed gratitude on behalf of the community, acknowledging Fidelity Bank’s continued support in promoting maternal health.
One of the beneficiaries, Sekinat Aderoju, also expressed her appreciation, noting that the kits would ease the financial burden and help ensure safe deliveries.
This donation aligns with Fidelity Bank’s Health/Social Welfare CSR pillar, alongside its other CSR focuses, including Education, Youth Empowerment, and Environmental Sustainability. Fidelity Bank, serving over 8.3 million customers, continues to be recognized for its excellence in banking and its commitment to social impact
