How Northern candidates are leading PDP’s presidential race ahead of Southerners
It can now be vividly seen that the politicians from the northern part of the country are the ones presently leading the presidential race of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of their southern counterparts. Those politicians that are presently campaigning here and there prominently are from the northern part of the country. As far as the incoming presidential election is concerned, one of those northern politicians is expected to get the presidential election ticket of the opposition party.
It should be recalled that all governors from the southern part of the country have initially agreed to produce the next president of the country. Those governors met in Lagos State where all of them unanimously decided to produce the incoming president of the country. It is now so surprising to see that the northern part of the country is still leading the presidential race of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the determined southerners.
To fasten processes of producing the next presidential candidate of the opposition party, some governors in the south made sure that the present national chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu, emerged from the northern part of the country. Despite all these, the presidential race of the party is still in favour of northerners as far as the incoming general election is concerned.
