American rapper Kanye West, also known as Ye, has postponed his scheduled concert in Marseille following mounting pressure from French authorities over his recent antisemitic remarks.
The June 11 show, part of his European tour, was called off after reports emerged that France’s Interior Minister, Laurent Nunez, was considering blocking the performance.

“After much thought and consideration, it is my sole decision to postpone my show in Marseille, France until further notice,” West wrote on X.
The controversy stems from a series of inflammatory statements made by the rapper, including public admiration for Adolf Hitler and the release of a song titled Heil Hitler in May 2025. The track, alongside a swastika-themed merchandise line, was subsequently banned by major streaming platforms.
The 48-year-old has faced growing international backlash, with the United Kingdom barring him from entry, leading to the cancellation of a major festival he was set to headline. Prime Minister Keir Starmer described the booking as “deeply concerning.”
Reacting to the postponement, West said he does not want fans caught in the controversy.
“I know it takes time to understand the sincerity of my commitment to make amends. I take full responsibility for what’s mine but I don’t want to put my fans in the middle of it,” he wrote.
Despite restrictions in some countries, Dutch official Bart van den Brink recently stated that there are currently no plans to prevent the rapper from performing in the Netherlands.
