NATO has expressed concerns over the frequent test of missiles by North Korea across the Korean peninsula, berating North Korea over series of recent missile tests. NATO urged North Korea to engage in diplomacy.

NATO’s leader, Jens Stoltenberg, on Twitter declared: “I strongly condemn North Korea’s dangerous and destabilising missile tests.” Ge argued that the missile tests violate United Nations Security Resolutions.

Stoltenberg insisted that North Korea must abandon the country’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

Stoltenberg maintained that NATO is in solidarity with Japan, South Korea, New Zealand and Australia in the missile controversies.

Recall that North Korea fired a ballistic missile over Japan, in what appears to be a deliberate escalation to get the attention of Tokyo and Washington.

The missile travelled 4,500km (2,800 miles) before falling into the Pacific Ocean – far enough to hit the US island of Guam if it took another trajectory.
