The Nigerian Army has announced that Brig.-Gen. M.A. Sadiq, the immediate past Commander of the 3 Brigade in Kano, is currently undergoing an investigation into administrative discrepancies that occurred during his tenure.
The update was shared in a statement by Maj.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, on Wednesday.
Nwachukwu indicated that Brigade-Gen. Sadiq was removed from his command to facilitate a thorough investigation.
“The Nigerian Army is a self-regulatory institution founded on the principles of discipline, justice, and accountability,” Nwachukwu stated.
He emphasized that the army has a zero-tolerance policy for indiscipline and will not tolerate any misconduct that could undermine its core values.

“The Nigerian Army assures both our internal and external publics that the allegations will be thoroughly investigated, and appropriate administrative action will be taken,” he added.
Nwachukwu reaffirmed the army’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and transparency, promising that the investigation process will be fair, impartial, and adhere to established procedures.
