The leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, may be mocking the U.S., Japan, and South Korea, over their antagonism of the missiles test in the peninsula sea by Pyongyang. Kim Jong Un was displayed in a video riding a white horse through the forest in what many described as “a new North Korean propaganda to demonstrate his economic leadership”, in disregard of the sanctions imposed against the launch of missile.
The documentary produced by North Korea government released this week showed Kim Jong Un attempting to play down the dwindling economy of the country, struggling with long years of blockade after international sanctions.
The video is book ended by footage of Kim riding a white horse, a key symbol of the Kim family’s dynastic rule.
North Korea had resumed missile tests in early January 2022, conducting seven missile tests, including firing its most powerful missile since 2017. These precipitated fears that Kim Jong Un may have resumed long-range or nuclear testing in the Korean Peninsula.
