Concerned Nigerians under the banner of the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations and Political Parties for Good Governance (CCSOPPGG), undertook a protest at the European Union office in Abuja to express their dissent towards the EU’s report on the presidential election held on February 25, 2023.
The protesters, holding numerous placards bearing diverse inscriptions, embarked on a procession through the Central Area, making their way towards the headquarters of the European Union in the Federal Capital Territory.

In its report, the EU had previously criticized the 2023 general elections, citing instances of violence, loss of life, and vote-buying as significant factors contributing to their appraisal.
The peaceful march culminated at the EU’s headquarters, where representatives of the coalition addressed the officials of the union. Assured by a member of the EU that the message conveyed by the protesters would be duly conveyed to the Union, the group then took their departure.
