Eric Chelle retains winning squad for crucial World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe
Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has opted to stick with the same starting lineup that secured a dominant victory over Rwanda as Nigeria prepares to face Zimbabwe in a crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
Chelle, who clinched his first win as Super Eagles boss last Friday against Rwanda, is banking on team stability to maintain Nigeria’s momentum in the qualifying campaign. Star striker Victor Osimhen was the hero of the previous match, netting a brace to reignite the Super Eagles’ World Cup hopes.
Super Eagles Unchanged Starting XI
For the clash against Zimbabwe, Chelle has named an unchanged starting XI, ensuring that Nigeria’s attacking firepower remains intact.
The formidable front four includes: Victor Osimhen (Galastaray), Ademola Lookman (Atalanta), Moses Simon (Nantes), and Samuel Chukwueze (AC Milan).
