Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has sparked reactions online following his public birthday gesture for his on-screen colleague, Bam Bam.
Taking to Instagram on April 23, 2026, Arukwe asked fans for ideas on what gift to present to the actress as she marked her birthday. As part of the planned surprise, he revealed intentions to host a celebration at a library.
He also invited fans and well-wishers to contribute by purchasing tables for the event or selecting items from Bam Bam’s birthday wishlist, which reportedly includes clothing, gadgets, wigs, and other personal items.
The gesture has drawn mixed reactions, particularly given recent rumours surrounding Bam Bam’s marriage to Teddy A.

Although neither Bam Bam nor her husband has publicly addressed the speculation, the rumours have continued to circulate online.
In a previous interview with BBC Igbo in March, Arukwe dismissed claims of a romantic relationship between himself and the actress. The rumours emerged following their on-screen chemistry in a film project.
He explained that he maintained professionalism during filming and set clear boundaries, especially in scenes involving physical contact, to avoid any issues that could affect Bam Bam’s marriage.
Despite ongoing speculation, the pair’s continued collaboration highlights a strong working relationship that appears to extend beyond the screen.
