Members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational Associated Institutions (NASU), and the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAATS) of the University of Lagos staged a peaceful protest in front of the school’s gate on Wednesday.
The protesting workers blocked vehicular movement and hindered the free flow of traffic in the environment, just as they sang and displayed various placards to register their grievances with the Federal Government over their withheld salaries.
It will be recalled that the JAC of SSANU and NASU had, for about a month, called the government’s attention to its exclusion from the payment of the withheld salaries, which it commenced payment for the Academic Staff Union of Universities in February.
