Osun Governor inaugurates Primary Health Care task force

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has intensified efforts at strengthening efficient functions of Primary Health Care System in Osun State by inaugurating

According to the Governor, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Kola Adewusi, the Primary Health Care Task Force is saddled with the responsibility of making strategic plans for the overall improvement of Primary Health Care services in the State.

“There is need to prioritize health sector in the State. My administration will not rest on its oars in making all necessary steps towards giving the best to Osun people as far as good health care delivery is concerned.”

In his remarks, the Commissioner for Health, Jola Akintola appreciated the Governor, on behalf of the inaugurated members of Primary Healthcare Taskforce, for his prompt attention on health which has been yielding tremendous positive outcomes.

The Commissioner for Health however promised, on behalf of the inaugurated taskforce members, to toe the line of Mr. Governor’s passionate interests at making every Osun citizen live healthily.

Dr Oluyemi Ogundun in her presentation which bothered on level of improvement generally in the primary health sector ranging from people’s access to health care delivery, their compliance rate as well as availability of health facility in the State.

She observed that a significant improvement has been recorded so far during the current administration compared to what was obtainable before.
