A woman working at Dreamworld, Australia’s largest amusement park, was hospitalized after being mauled by a tiger on Monday.
According to local media reports, the incident occurred while the woman, a trained animal handler, was working with the park’s tigers.
She sustained injuries to her arm and was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
Dreamworld released a statement confirming the incident and expressing their concern for the injured employee.
“We acknowledge an isolated and rare incident that occurred involving one of the park’s tigers and a trained tiger handler,” a spokesperson said.

“The park will conduct a thorough review to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack.”
Dreamworld, located on the Gold Coast in Queensland, is home to a collection of nine Sumatran and Bengal tigers.
The park has not disclosed the specific tiger involved in the attack or the circumstances that led to the incident.
