World Cup final ball, Shakira’s halftime outfit headline FIFA charity auction
The official match ball from the 2026 FIFA World Cup final and costumes worn during the tournament’s historic halftime show will go under the hammer as part of a charity auction announced by Christie’s on Tuesday.
The week-long online auction, which opens on July 22, will raise funds for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative aiming to generate $100 million to expand access to education for children around the world.

Among the headline items are a yellow crop top and matching trousers worn by Colombian superstar Shakira in the music video for Dai Dai, the official song of the 2026 World Cup.
Also up for auction is the outfit Shakira will wear during the tournament’s first-ever World Cup final halftime show, an 11-minute spectacle featuring fellow global stars Madonna, Justin Bieber and BTS.
Football memorabilia will also feature prominently, including the official match ball from the July 19 World Cup final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and another used during the tournament’s opening match in Mexico.
Fans and collectors will also have the opportunity to bid for a signed Argentina jersey worn by Lionel Messi during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, alongside a signed United States men’s national team jersey.
Organisers said proceeds from the auction will support educational initiatives for children worldwide through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
