5 things the shape and size of your stool say about your health
Some of us don’t take note of our poop after defecating, or we take note and do not think it has anything to do with our health. According to WebMD, the color and size of your stool can say a lot about your health condition.
The kind of waste products that our digestive system discharges can reveal if there are any health issues in our bodies or not.
1. If your stool looks fluffy, tiny, or soft and you defecate up to three times a day, it’s a sign that you have gastrointestinal problems. This could be due to infections or eating contaminated food.
It’s a sign of constipation, and your stool is difficult to pass. You need to drink a lot of water and eat fiber-rich foods like oatmeal or beans. This will allow the waste products in your body to move out easily.
4. When your stool is soft and looks like a sausage with a cracked appearance, this shows that your bowels are in good condition. It means you’ve been eating the right foods. You go to the toilet and defecate within two minutes.
5. If your stool is completely watery, has no solid materials in it, and you go to the toilet more than twice a day consistently for about a week, you need quick medical treatment.
This could be typhoid or diarrhea. You are likely going to feel severe stomach pain and a high body temperature.
