He noted that Deaconess Angel Oyakhilome had served as a deaconess in the ministry until her demise, adding that her role in raising and moulding her son, who has become a globally recognised Christian leader, made her contribution particularly significant.

Akpabio stressed that the late Deaconess was respected not only because she was the mother of the LoveWorld founder but also because of her personal commitment to serving God.
According to him, her piety and unwavering devotion to the Christian faith earned her the title of Deaconess.
“Your late mother was widely acclaimed as highly esteemed not because she was the mother of the President and founder of LoveWorld that you are, but more on account of her devoutness and total devotion to the service of God,” he stated.
He urged Pastor Oyakhilome to draw strength from his mother’s spiritual legacy, expressing hope that her example would encourage present and future generations to embrace the Christian faith.
“Let her devotion to the service of God continue to inspire you and generations to embrace God in spirit and in truth so that His name will be glorified,” Akpabio said.
The Senate President also encouraged the bereaved family to find comfort in their mother’s faith, noting that her life as a committed Christian offered hope in the promise of eternal life.
