Ayra Starr opens up on romance, reveals top love languages

Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has opened up about her views on romance, revealing the qualities and gestures she values in relationships.

The Afrobeats star spoke about her love preferences during a recent Dazed DNA interview, where she disclosed that she does not have just one preferred love language.

Ayra Starr said she appreciates quality time and words of affirmation but also places significant value on money and acts of service.

“My love language is money, acts of service, also quality time, words of affirmation. I love all love languages. To be honest, I want all of them,” she said.

The singer also stressed the importance of positive energy and emotional wellbeing, saying she prefers to distance herself from situations or people that negatively affect her mood.

“Energy wrong, I log off,” she added.

She further explained that being cared for also means having people around her who help her maintain balance, particularly before major performances.

According to her, ensuring that she gets enough rest and remains centred before going on stage is an important form of care.
