Djed Spence set to join Inter Milan in £27m move from Tottenham

England international Djed Spence is closing in on a move to Italian giants Inter Milan after Tottenham Hotspur reportedly reached a verbal agreement with the Serie A club for the versatile full-back.

The proposed transfer is understood to be worth around £27 million, with reports suggesting that the two clubs have made significant progress after weeks of negotiations. Spence has also agreed to the move, bringing him closer to a new chapter in Italian football.

The transfer represents a major step in Spence’s career, particularly after his impressive performances for England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. His displays on the international stage significantly increased his profile and attracted interest from clubs across Europe.

Inter’s interest in the 25-year-old had been building since the World Cup, with the club identifying him as a player capable of operating as a wing-back and providing the pace and defensive strength required in their system. Italian reports previously indicated that Inter were prepared to invest heavily in securing his services.

Spence’s move would also bring him back to Italy, where he previously spent six months on loan at Genoa in 2024. His experience in Serie A could make his transition to Inter less difficult as he prepares to compete at one of the highest levels of European football.
