Mistakes parents should avoid when sending their kids to boarding school

For a while now there have been series of unfortunate incidents that has taken place in boarding schools. From the story of Don Davis that was sodomized in boarding school, to the story of Sylvester who allegedly died while in boarding school.

Alot of parents have been thrown into confusion and have no idea on what to do. Majority of them do not want their own kids to also suffer the same fate, most parents have even gone as far as withdrawing their kids from boarding school.

Below are a few mistakes that Parents should avoid especially when sending their kids to boarding school;

There are alot of kids that cry everyday to their parents, they beg their parents to take them out of boarding school. This cry for help should not be ignored by the Parents because it can save their lives. They should make sure they investigate any complain from their kids.

Parents should also stop putting their kids in a boarding school if possible, most children get spoilt and even get bullied while in school. The students would come out of boarding school and become something else. Parents have to learn from this kind of stories in other to prevent such from ever happening.

Parents should also teach their kids to be good to other students, they should teach their kids never to bully any other student in their school. This can help put an end to bullying of the younger ones in school.

Parents whose kids are in boarding school should also pay alot of attention to their kids. They should pay attention to their behavior and take them for regular check ups. Most times these kids would be going through alot but would be sacred to say anything about it. If possible the Parents should visit the school unannounced and check on their kids.

This is a wake up call for parents whose kids are currently in boarding school, they have to sit up and watch their kids closely. Alot of kids get bullied alot in the boarding house, sadly fear has caused alot of them to withdraw and keep it to themselves.

Parents should not force their kids to go back to a school they do not want to attend, it is best to have your kids with you alive and healthy. Bullying and maltreatment is one thing that makes alot of kids run away from school.

If possible Parents should make friends with the matrons and hostel masters of their kids school, this way the kids would be monitored closely.
