Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign Brazilian winger Savinho in a deal worth an initial £75 million, with a further £10 million potentially payable in add-ons.

The 22-year-old is expected to undergo a medical before completing a long-term move to north London, ending Tottenham’s pursuit of the winger after more than a year.

Spurs first attempted to sign Savinho last summer, but their efforts were unsuccessful after the Brazil international decided to remain at the Etihad Stadium.

His situation at Manchester City changed during the 2025-26 season, however, as he struggled to establish himself as a regular starter under manager Pep Guardiola.

Savinho made only seven Premier League starts last season despite featuring in 24 league matches overall. He scored once in the league and added three goals in five domestic cup appearances.

The proposed transfer represents a significant investment in a player who joined City from French club Troyes in July 2024 for an initial £30.8 million (€40 million) on a five-year contract.

Before moving to Manchester, Savinho enjoyed an impressive loan spell at Girona, where he emerged as one of La Liga’s most exciting young attackers. He scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists in 41 appearances as Girona finished third in the league.

His move to City was part of the wider City Football Group structure, with both Girona and Troyes under the same ownership.

Savinho has made 84 appearances for Manchester City, registering seven goals and 16 assists. However, inconsistent playing time and a dip in form limited his impact during his time at the club.

Tottenham’s decision to commit £75 million upfront highlights their belief that Savinho can rediscover the form that made him one of Europe’s most highly rated young attacking players during his time at Girona.

For Savinho, the move presents an opportunity for a fresh start and potentially a more prominent role in north London after struggling for regular minutes under Guardiola.
