The announcement was made in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Publisher of City Business News, Moses Ebosele, who disclosed that the anniversary lecture would focus on the theme, “Logistics As The Engine Room Of Nigeria’s Economy.”

According to Ebosele, the event forms part of activities lined up to commemorate a decade of impactful business journalism, policy engagement, and strategic reporting across key sectors of the Nigerian economy, including maritime, transport, automobile, aviation, energy, the capital market, and financial services.

He described Nneji as one of Nigeria’s foremost entrepreneurs whose innovations and contributions to modern transportation and logistics management have significantly transformed the intercity transport sector in the country.

“Frank Nneji’s leadership, innovation and commitment to service excellence have continued to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs and logistics professionals across Africa,” Ebosele stated.

“We are honoured to have him chair this landmark anniversary lecture,” he added.

Nneji, an entrepreneur and management expert, founded ABC Transport Plc with a vision to revolutionise road transportation in Nigeria through improved safety standards, customer-focused services, technology-driven operations, and enhanced passenger comfort.

Under his leadership, the company pioneered several innovations in Nigeria’s transport industry, including organised shuttle operations, modern transport terminals, online ticket booking systems, and improved passenger safety measures.

Over the years, the company diversified into haulage, logistics, vehicle leasing, hospitality, and regional transport services across West Africa, building a reputation for professionalism and operational efficiency.

Nneji is also widely recognised for his contributions to entrepreneurship development, youth empowerment, and private sector growth in Nigeria.

He has received several awards and recognitions for excellence in transportation development and business leadership.

The anniversary lecture is expected to provide a platform for discussions on the strategic role of logistics and transportation infrastructure in stimulating Nigeria’s economic growth, industrial productivity, and regional trade integration.

Ebosele revealed that the major highlight of the event would be a keynote lecture titled, “Logistics As The Engine Room Of Nigeria’s Economy,” to be delivered by Boboye Oyeyemi.

Oyeyemi, who holds the national honours of OFR and NPOM, is the immediate past Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps and currently serves as President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.

He is widely regarded as an authority in transportation safety, logistics management, and mobility systems.

According to the organisers, the lecture will attract key stakeholders from both the public and private sectors, including maritime operators, transport professionals, regulators, policymakers, bankers, manufacturers, logistics experts, and media practitioners.

The organisers noted that the event is expected to generate practical insights into how improved logistics systems and transportation infrastructure can support economic expansion, boost trade competitiveness, and strengthen Nigeria’s position within the African regional market.
