Golf content creator and brand Good Good has apologised and removed an advertisement for a new golf driver after it showed a woman being pushed to the ground.

The advert, created for golf equipment manufacturer Callaway, sparked backlash online, with critics accusing the company of making light of violence against women.

The video featured Good Good co-founder Garrett Clark approaching professional golfer and regular Good Good creator Alexis Miestowski before pushing her to the ground as she reached for a new golf club.

Clark then shouted: “Do not touch my new driver.”

Good Good, which has more than two million YouTube subscribers, subsequently removed the video and issued an apology.

“We posted a video to our channels that ultimately depicted actions that are not aligned with our values as a brand,” the company said.

“We have since taken that content down, and sincerely apologise.”

The company added that it remained committed to making golf more inclusive.

Callaway and PGA Tour respond

Callaway, which has worked with Good Good since 2023, also expressed disappointment over the advertisement.

“We are disappointed by the content that was posted, and are appreciative of Good Good for addressing this,” the company said.

“We look forward to working together to ensure a more inclusive space in golf.”

The PGA Tour also condemned the advert, stressing that violence has no place in the sport.

“The PGA Tour believes in golf’s ability to bring people together and create a welcoming environment for all,” a spokesperson said.

“We do not condone violence in any form, and the since-deleted video does not reflect our values or commitment to inclusivity and respect.”

Good Good was launched as a YouTube channel in 2020 and has grown into one of golf’s biggest social-media brands, producing golf challenges, entertainment shows, clothing promotions and other content.

The PGA Tour has increasingly sought closer relationships with golf content creators and announced plans last year for the inaugural Good Good Championship in Texas, scheduled for November.
