Premier League releases 2026/27 festive fixtures, 7 matches set for Boxing Day

The Premier League has released the festive fixture schedule for the 2026/27 season, with a busy programme of matches lined up across the Christmas and New Year period.

Seven matches are scheduled for Boxing Day, December 26, with Aston Villa opening the day’s action against Leeds United at 12:30pm GMT.

Everton will host Sunderland, Fulham will face Brighton, Ipswich Town will take on Brentford, while Tottenham Hotspur will welcome Bournemouth in the 3pm kick-offs. Newcastle United will host Manchester City later in the evening, while Hull City will face Liverpool at 5:30pm GMT.

The festive programme will continue on December 27, when Coventry City host Chelsea, Manchester United welcome Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace take on Arsenal.

Further fixtures are scheduled for December 29 and 30, with several of the league’s leading clubs facing important matches before the turn of the year.

On December 30, Fulham will host Arsenal, Manchester United will face Sunderland, Aston Villa will welcome Liverpool, while Chelsea will travel to Ipswich Town. Crystal Palace will host Bournemouth, Newcastle United will take on Nottingham Forest and Coventry City will face Brentford.

The Premier League will then enter the New Year period with Leeds United hosting Everton on January 1, 2027.

On January 2, Brighton will face Manchester United, Arsenal will host Ipswich Town, Brentford will welcome Crystal Palace, Liverpool will take on Coventry City, Nottingham Forest will face Fulham, Sunderland will host Hull City and Bournemouth will play Aston Villa.

The festive schedule will conclude with two major fixtures on January 3, when Chelsea host Newcastle United and Manchester City welcome Tottenham Hotspur.

The congested festive period is traditionally regarded as one of the most demanding stages of the Premier League season, with teams required to manage their squads through a series of matches in a short period.

The fixtures could also have a significant bearing on the title race, European qualification places and relegation battle as clubs enter the second half of the 2026/27 campaign.
