1hour with the Princess of Okpe Kingdom: “I first saw my husband in a dream”

SOMEWHERE in the palatial home of Jan Gerrits in swolles, Netherlands, his delectable wife and princess of Okpe kingdom, Patience Odeh sat on a high back reclining chair like human frigate reminiscing on their long blissful marriage when her husband walked in with his heart suddenly smitten afresh with love and admiration to the Queen of slay, who makes heads turn in any occasion.

In admiration for her beauty and elegancy after two beautiful girls who looks like sea goddess, he, pulled her up and place his mouth an her lips, suddenly, there was a spontaneous response from the wife as the two love birds glued together in along kissing.

A few moments later, they both look into each other’s eyes with burning passion of love, as Jan whispered something inaudible into his wife’s ears, in the same way and words Adamused for Eve in the Holy Bible. “Patience, you are the bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. I am you, you are me. And we are one”.

With those inspiring love words, the couples suddenly remembered what was stirring in their hearts and mind almost 2 decades ago when Jan first proposed his undying love for her.

In an emotion laden with love and pledge, patience said without holding back on her love for the man she loved to madness said “little did I realize that what was stirring in my heart at that time was the beginning of a process, a process whereby I and Jan will fall in love as husband and wife to protect, and share each other’s emotion.

Today, if there is any one that could be lucky in marital life that has worked with precision, patience Odeh Gerrits is the one. She had remained married to her white husband for almost 2 decades with fanatical commitment and dedication.

On if given another opportunity to come back into this world, would she still marry the same man? She declared, I will marry Jan Gerrits over and over again, I would rather remain in heaven, if I would not be given the second chance to marry him again.

God is generous to have given him to me hence I loved him with every nails, hair, bones and blood of my body, just in the same way he treat me like a body.

On when and how she realized that Jan Gerrits was going to be the crown of her glory, she delve into the events that brought them together that far back to when she was in Nigeria, she was a prayer warrior in their church. People were constantly referring to me as a prophetess, because whatever I said then would come to pass.

So when God was going to bring my crown of glory to me, I saw this white man both in dream and vision, trying to insert a golden ring on my finger. I closed my eyes when he inserted it and cuddled me like a new born baby while I rested my head on
his broad chest. It was on the 3rd day of fasting and prayer in the mountain that God again revealed the same man to me the 5th time.

Three weeks later, I met him for the first time and intuitively, I knew he was the chosen one. Within a week of knowing him he proposed married to me, initially, I pretended I was not interested, when I was dying of his love, but at last, I accepted his hands in marriage with me.

On what informed her baby project “stitching kids and women foundation” an NGO that was established in 2014, the charismatic personality who has won the hearts of the less privilege children in the society has again worked herself stubbornly into the heart of the widows whom she declared is her mother wish because she lost her husband, several year back. We are all aware how the society treats widows with scorn and disdain as if they wish for what they got.

The pains she felt, when she lost her husband (my father) over 10 years again is pronounced in her, because her husband was a loving and caring husband to her, just the same way she cared for the man, when he was alive.

I could remember vividly how my father addresses my mother as “my Queen or my Jewel”.

In order to palliate her emotion she is requesting for the establishment if widow foundation for her, because of the plight of widows in the society. Accessing the effect of the NGO, “stitching Kids Foundation” in the last 2 years, the response towards their activities is tremendous as so many under privilege children have been provided for in different way.

Her Alma matter secondary school Okpe has also enjoy the soothing balm of patience Odeh Gerrits with the provisions of book, writing materials etc.

An arrangement is on the way to provide modern school equipments to the school and other schools.

Behind the longer than life image of this charismatic and flawless woman of ruby, she is a good manager of men and resources. She is a workaholic who imbibes similar work ethics on those who work and oversee the success of her baby project.

Infact, the trajectory of her life has not only being phenomenal but inspiring.

In all of this, patience is a stickler for perfection; she gives out crazily. She possesses an impressive manner with strong expressive eyes and baritone voice. She is studious with probing eyes and mind. Above all she is private, cerebral thorough in whatever she is doing and at times she is introverted. Beyond the physique are tenderness, love and kindness that even shine on her face like mirror.
