3 Division Nigerian Army gets new GOC

The 3 Division Nigerian Army, Maxwell Kobe Cantonment in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State on Monday began a new face of Command as Major General Ibrahim Sallau Ali assumed command of the Division.

Gen. Ali who is the new General Officer Commanding (GOC), upon assumption charged officer to work as a team and collaborate effectively to surmount insurgency.

“Work as a team, imbibe positive attitude to work, demonstrate professionalism in the discharge of your duties’, he said.

In a statement sent to our correspondent by the spokesman of the Division, Major Eli Lazarus, said the new GOC thanked the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Farouk Yahaya for the confidence reposed in him to command the Division.

“Major General Ibrahim Sallau Ali is the 41st GOC 3 Division Nigerian Army. He is expected to double as the Commander OPERATION SAFE HEAVEN.

“Until his appointment as the GOC, he was the Director of Policy at the Army Headquarters Department of Policy and Plans”, the statement reads in part.
