Ladies, are you afraid when that time of the month rolls around? A lot of ladies go through menstrual pains, negligent of the fact that natural remedies can make their periods easier to handle. Here are 5 organic ways:

  1. Get supplements:

Try some muscle easing supplements such as, calcium and magnesium supplements for the whole month. Get as much as 1000mg of calcium and 500mg of magnesium daily.  However, if you produce loose stools, minimize the dose.

  1. Drink some tea:

Try a soft uterine tonic like raspberry leaf. Take a cup of raspberry leaf tea each day for the whole month. Remember that you are searching for the herbal tea, not raspberry-flavored black tea!

  1. More green veggies:

You tend to get magnesium, calcium, and so many other micronutrients from dark greens.  These nutrients are good for helping with muscle contractions. They can also be cleansing, which is good for the body in “stagnation” periods. Also, dandelion greens, which are quite bitter have a mild diuretic effect, which reduces bloating.

  1. Cancel out Caffeine:

Caffeine, is known to be a vasoconstrictor, as it makes blood vessels constrict.  Actually, it sometimes causes the vessels that feed the uterus to tighten more than usual in non-coffee drinkers.  If love coffee and can’t get rid of it, just steer clear of it from the week prior to your period and you’ll see a better period season.

  1. Try a heating pad:

A safe way to go is a heating pad or hot water bottle, which is an easy and effective way to minimize muscle spasms.

Nevertheless, remember that overly painful menstruation can be a symptom of a more serious undiscovered medical issue, like endometriosis, a uterine infection, or a problem with the uterine anatomy. If your pain seems out of control, make sure to see your primary care provider.
