What Atiku told Akwa Ibom youth about his promise

PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has reassured voters of his commitment to give 70 per cent preferential treatment to youths and women related issues, if elected in the Feb. 16 general elections.

Atiku said this during his presidential campaign rally held in Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.

”The positions of youths and women in my government will be 70 per cent. My government will be dedicated to the youths and women,” he said.

He also promised to restore the nation’s economy if elected into office.

”One of our most important policies is to restore the economy because we have people like Gov. Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom who is an economic expert,” he said.

He noted that PDP government had achieved a lot in Akwa Ibom.

”I know all the governors and I know what they have achieved, no governor has achieved better than Gov. Emmanuel,” Atiku said.

He urged the people of Akwa Ibom to vote for all PDP candidates in the country.

”One of our cardinal policy is also to restructure the country, if we restructure the country, Akwa Ibom is going to be more prosperous than today.

“If the country is restructure, there will be more jobs, more security, and more education in the country.

Also speaking, the National Chairman of PDP, Mr Uche Secondus, warned against rigging in the forthcoming general elections.

The national chairman urged Akwa Ibom to join hands with other Nigerians to liberate country.

Secondus later presented the party flag to Gov. Emmanuel as the governorship candidate to fly the party flag and win the March 2 election.
