Over 100 worshippers abducted in coordinated church attacks in Kaduna

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted more than 100 worshippers during coordinated attacks on three churches in Kaduna State.

The attacks occurred on Sunday in Kurmin Wali community, located in Kajuru Local Government Area. The assailants reportedly struck during church services, arriving in large numbers and carrying out the raids almost simultaneously.

Witnesses said the gunmen overpowered the congregants and quickly whisked the worshippers away, leaving the community in shock and fear.

At the time of filing this report, efforts to reach the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer for confirmation and details were unsuccessful, as calls were not answered.

The incident has raised serious security concerns, particularly as it reflects a growing trend of targeted attacks on religious gatherings in the region.

Residents and community leaders have called for urgent intervention to secure the area and ensure the safe release of the abducted worshippers.
