Just in: Kano Governor Abba Yusuf holds closed-door meeting with Tinubu

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, on Monday held a meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House, Abuja, in what is believed to be part of ongoing consultations between the federal government and state leaders.

Governor Yusuf arrived at the Presidential Villa in the afternoon and was seen making his way to the president’s office at about 4:13 pm.

He was dressed in his trademark white flowing traditional attire, complemented by the red Kwankwasiyya cap, a symbol closely associated with his political identity.

Details of the meeting were not immediately disclosed as both parties maintained silence on the agenda of the closed-door discussion. However, the visit has sparked interest amid ongoing national conversations around governance, economic reforms, security, and federal–state collaboration.

The meeting marks one of the recent engagements between President Tinubu and opposition governors, underscoring efforts at dialogue and cooperation across party lines in addressing pressing national and subnational challenges.
