Italian giants Juventus are reportedly preparing an ambitious €120 million move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, as they look to spearhead a major squad overhaul ahead of next season.

According to several Italian newspapers, the Turin-based club are ready to make a substantial financial commitment to secure the services of the prolific forward, who is currently starring for Turkish champions Galatasaray.

Juventus had previously attempted to lure Osimhen before his switch to Galatasaray two years ago but were unable to finalize a deal at the time.

However, fresh reports suggest the “Old Lady” are keen to reignite their long-standing interest as they aim to reclaim dominance in Italian football.

Osimhen recently fueled speculation about a potential move by expressing admiration for Juventus, describing them as “one of the most important clubs in football history.” The 27-year-old forward added that it would be a place where he could “enjoy playing and feel he belongs,” comments that have intensified transfer rumours across Europe.

Juventus are expected to embark on an aggressive recruitment drive this summer following what has been widely described as an underwhelming campaign. Club executives are said to view Osimhen as the marquee signing capable of restoring their attacking edge and leading a renewed push for the Serie A title.

However, any deal could prove complicated. Galatasaray are reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of €150 million for their talismanic striker, a figure significantly higher than Juventus’ proposed offer. The Turkish club are understood to be reluctant to part ways with one of their most influential players unless their valuation is met.

Osimhen is no stranger to Italian football, having spent four successful seasons with Napoli, where he etched his name into club history by helping them secure the Scudetto. His goal-scoring exploits in Italy established him as one of Europe’s most sought-after forwards before his move to Turkey.

With the summer transfer window approaching, negotiations between the clubs could intensify, setting the stage for one of the most high-profile transfer sagas in European football.
