Hyundai Nigeria has officially introduced the all-new Hyundai Palisade to the Nigerian market, headlining a media showcase in Lagos that underscored the automaker’s renewed push across multiple passenger vehicle segments.

The unveiling, held at the company’s Victoria Island showroom, brought together automotive journalists and industry stakeholders for a first-hand look at Hyundai’s refreshed and expanding portfolio.

On display alongside the new Palisade were the Hyundai Accent, Hyundai Creta, Hyundai Tucson, and Hyundai Santa Fe—a lineup spanning entry-level sedans to premium three-row SUVs.

The spotlight of the event was firmly on the debut of the Palisade, Hyundai’s flagship SUV, positioned to strengthen the brand’s foothold in Nigeria’s premium segment.

With its commanding road presence, bold exterior styling and three-row seating configuration, the Palisade is designed to appeal to large families and executive buyers seeking a blend of space, comfort and sophistication.

The SUV also boasts an upscale interior finish, advanced safety systems and convenience-focused technologies aimed at delivering a refined driving experience.

Industry observers note that demand for premium SUVs has been steadily rising in Nigeria, driven by a growing preference for spacious, feature-rich vehicles capable of handling diverse road conditions.

Beyond the Palisade, Hyundai used the showcase to emphasise the breadth of its offerings.

The Santa Fe was presented as a refined, family-oriented SUV featuring generous cabin space and premium detailing, while the Tucson continues to attract buyers with its contemporary styling, practicality and everyday versatility.

In the compact SUV category, the Creta stood out for its balance of efficiency, urban-friendly dimensions and modern design cues, targeting style-conscious city drivers. Meanwhile, the Accent sedan maintained its appeal as a practical and cost-effective option for young professionals, fleet operators and first-time car buyers.

Speaking at the event, Brand Head of Hyundai Nigeria, Gaurav Vashisht, described the introduction of the Palisade as a significant milestone in the company’s strategy to deepen its footprint in Nigeria.

“This introduction of the all-new Palisade strengthens our premium SUV offering while complementing a well-rounded line-up that delivers on design, safety, innovation and everyday usability,” he said.

He added that Hyundai remains focused on delivering globally competitive vehicles tailored to the realities of the Nigerian market, particularly as competition intensifies in the country’s evolving passenger vehicle space.

The media showcase also marked the commencement of Hyundai Nigeria’s Easter sales campaign. As part of the promotion, customers will benefit from value-added incentives including complimentary delivery, selected accessories, vehicle registration and service packages.

With the launch of the Palisade and continued emphasis on segment diversity, Hyundai Nigeria appears poised to compete more aggressively in both the mainstream and premium ends of the country’s automotive market.
