Nigeria’s Super Eagles will take on the Jordan national team in an international friendly clash on Tuesday in Antalya, Turkey.

The encounter offers another test for the Super Eagles as they aim to maintain their impressive run of form during their training camp in Turkey.

Nigeria heads into the match on the back of a 2–1 victory over Iran, with goals from Moses Simon and Akor Adams sealing the win. The result has boosted confidence within the squad under head coach Eric Chelle.

Jordan, already qualified for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, present a stern challenge. The Middle Eastern side, currently ranked 64th in the world, has lost just once in their last five matches, underlining their competitive edge.

Chelle is expected to rotate his squad, with possible defensive adjustments that could see Igoh Ogbu feature alongside a new centre-back partner. Zaidu Sanusi may slot in at left-back, while Bright Osayi-Samuel is likely to retain his place on the right.

In midfield, captain Wilfred Ndidi is expected to partner Alex Iwobi, who is closing in on his 100th international cap. Options such as Frank Onyeka, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, and Raphael Onyedika provide additional depth.

In attack, Simon could lead the line, supported by Samuel Chukwueze, Adams, or Ademola Lookman. Other attacking options include Paul Onuachu, Chidera Ejuke, Philip Otele, and Yira Sor.

Historically, both sides have met twice at senior level, with one win apiece. Nigeria recorded a 2–0 victory in a 2004 LG Cup clash in Lagos, while Jordan edged a 1–0 win in a 2013 friendly in Amman.

Tuesday’s fixture provides Chelle with another opportunity to fine-tune his squad ahead of upcoming competitions, including the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
